Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and the Windows XP Sound Recorder

By

Tune: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

When using your computer to send a song to me,
Please try the sound recorder built into your XP.
It isn't high fidelity, and yet the sound you get
Can serve as an attachment -- you don't need a cassette!

Chorus

Supercalifragilistic XP sound recorder!
Despite the sixty seconds thing,
You can use it -- sort of!
Just click "effects" and "decrease speed"
Over and yet over! No more sixty second thing! You can keep recording!

It doesn't cost much money. It's easy to afford.
You find it in your start bar, and you have to press record.
But you will need a microphone, as Microsoft makes clear:
If you neglect to use one, the sound card cannot hear!

So please don't go to Wal-Mart, to buy cassette recorders,
I don't believe they carry them, except for special orders.
Just email me your snail mail and I will send a mike,
And you can start recording anything you like!

Hi. Did you hear the one about Gandhi?

He was a super-calloused-fragile-mystic-plagued-by-halitosis

Aya Katz 2 years ago

Jon Green, no, I never heard that one. Is there a whole song that goes with it?

Jon Green 2 years ago

I think it's from Gandhi-The Musical (only kidding)

Aya Katz 2 years ago

Hey, I would love to see a musical about Ghandi!

Great stuff! I see you went for the supercalifragilistic....... Love to know what kind of traffic you will get. Well done!

Aya Katz 2 years ago

Laura, thanks! I couldn't resist making the attempt. So far, traffic is not that great for this hub, but I think it might be attracting a specialized crowd of readers!

Wow that is really creative. Everyone in my family chuckled at this when I sang the words to them around the dinner table. Guess that makes me one of those specialized crowd of readers. But I'm glad to read your work. :)

Wannabwestern, you made my day! You sang it for your family and they liked it!?! It doesn't get any better than this. Thanks!

Might not be the hub, just the timing of the hub. It's been my experience that hubs published on or around any major holiday result in less traffic?

Aya Katz 2 years ago

Jerilee, you could be right. I have detected a drop in traffic recently... But it's hard to tell! I suppose if people surf the web only at work, there would be a drop during the holidays. But if they're not allowed to surf at work or school, then there ought to be a rise. I know my daughter falls into the latter category! Her internet access is severely restricted at school, so she rushes home to surf the web!

Hey, the title caught my attention!

Robakerost, thanks! Glad it worked!

Aya Katz (I would love to see a musical about Ghandi!) It is GANDHI .. .

Trying to understand the Title ... big word... what the topic means? :-)

Aya Katz 20 months ago

Msms, sorry about the typo. So, is there a musical about Gandhi?

Well, nobody knows quite what the title word means. However, it does seem to mean something, doesn't it?
